Before the Ontario Courthouse was built at the corner of Elgin Street and Nepean Street, buildings from the WWII were temporarily erected at the same location.
Despite not having the exact date when the archival photo was shot, it had to be before 1965 since the Canadian flag with the Union Jack was floating on the roof of the military buildings.
We can see the Roxborough Apartments on the left-hand side of the picture. They were located on the North-East corner of the intersection Laurier-Elgin.
