My grandfather Harry Nye was given a space in the basement of the Windsor Hotel to run the family business for a short while during the depression I understand. His original business opened in 1927 at 150 Albert St. and later went on to Lebreton Flats where Wellington and Albert used to meet. Stewart Warner Sales & Service is a speedometer service shop still in operation today with continuous family ownership.

As to photos old and new, I much prefer the old which has history and light while the new has none of that and is more or less bland boring and dead, though very very shiny, if you like grey.
