Sparks Street is clearly not where it was 100 years ago when several dozens of shops were opened. Some of the buildings were saved, but the heritage lost, which eroded the specificity and the standing of Sparks Streets, are obvious in this comparison....

A few buildings were added to this section of Metcalfe Street but it still kept the ambiance that was present 70 years ago. The massive building on the left-hand side is the Mayfair apartment building located at 260 Metcalfe Street....
