Sparks Street is clearly not where it was 100 years ago when several dozens of shops were opened.  Some of the buildings were saved, but the heritage lost, which eroded the specificity and the standing of Sparks Streets, are obvious in this comparison.

What's up with the cube for New Year's Eve? They did that last year too. They left it there for months, as if they want to show that something, for once, happened on Sparks Street.

It has no purpose and it is ugly.
